Local History Room/Tigard Public Library
The Library’s Local History collection documents the Tigard area’s commercial and social development from the 1850s to the present. The collection also includes basic histories of neighbor communities King City, Durham, Metzger, Tualatin, Lake Oswego and Sherwood.

Crescent Grove Cemetery and Mausoleum
In 2002, Crescent Grove Cemetery celebrated 150 years in service. As a local Southwest Community landmark, many of Tigard’s original families are buried here. It is the oldest maintained cemetery in the Portland metro area.
This Garden Home History Project was begun to record and preserve the history of this area for the current and future members of our community. We believe that it is in the smaller stories of our lives that our larger history is found. We invite you to enjoy the stories of those who came here to create farms, businesses and homes.
Washington County Heritage Online
Washington County Heritage Online is a cooperative project of local libraries, museums, and cultural institutions in Washington County, Oregon. It is supported in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Oregon State Library.
The Tualatin Historical Society began in 1986, 27 years ago. Co-founders Loyce Martinazzi and the late Karen Lafky Nygaard thought their interest in Tualatin's early days might be shared by others. They were correct. Early programs, held in the then-new Senior Center and built around a theme--early schools, Oregon Trail settlers, covered bridges--drew good crowds. Many activities and publications followed, fulfilling the mission "to preserve, promote and interpret the rich and colorful history of Tualatin."
Multnomah Historical Association
The purpose of the Multnomah Historical Association is "To collect, preserve, to exhibit, to publish material of a historical character and to develop community wide interest in the history, growth and development of the Southwest neighborhoods of Portland, Oregon."
