Ice Cream Social - July 16, 2016

The forecast of uncertain weather required us to postpone the event for a week, however this in turn gave us a glorious day! We served ice cream to over 100 guests, including our special visitors from Bonaventure Senior Living of Tigard.

There was something to suit all ages!  Mr. Curtis Tigard made an appearance and was quite happy to enjoy a bite of ice cream with folks young and old.  Children were able to take part in pioneer games, including writing with quill pens, which was a favorite among many.  There was a station to do a bit of laundry using good old fashioned muscle power in buckets, a wash board, and a wringer.  We even had an old fashioned photo booth available for guests to have their picture taken dressed in attire that you would find Tigard residents wearing in 1880.
